From the moment we stepped foot in the Barn at Alswick we knew it was the wedding venue for us. The venue is a beautiful setting and all the staff were absolutely exceptional. They went above and beyond to make our day special and run as smoothly as possible. We cannot recommend or thank the team enough for everything, truly amazing.

We recently got married at The Barn at Alswick in Buntingford. I’m sure a lot of couples love their venue and think it was the perfect day but it’s so lovely to hear so many of our guests say it was the best venue/best wedding they had been to. We loved the barn the minute we walked in and the process of choosing, booking and planning with the help of Claire was just so seamless, without stress and perfect. The venue also recommended suppliers to us. Those that we chose were just amazing and it took so much hassle out of shopping around for that perfect supplier. Everything from getting ready at the venue in the morning, with brunch goodies being served, to our ceremony, to the reception and wedding breakfast, to the evening reception, we just had the best day ever. It was seamless, everything went exactly how we had dreamed it would. And then we and some of our guests stayed at the luxury glamping facilities on site and enjoyed a fantastic breakfast the following day. Thank you to Claire, and all the staff at The Barn at Alswick. Perfect venue in every way for our special day.

We got married at The Barn at Alswick in July 2022 and had the most unforgettable day.
We are so happy we found The Barn – It was all we had ever dreamed of, and more!
We received so many compliments from our guests at how well run the day was, and how beautiful the venue was, and we couldn’t agree more.
As well as the venue being stunning, surrounded by picturesque grounds, the staff were also beyond brilliant. Ellie, Lucy and the whole Alswick team were great from the moment we met, and we were always very well looked after. It was nice knowing we were in safe hands, as it made our day completely stress free.
If you’re thinking of booking the barn as your wedding venue then definitely do it! The best venue in Hertfordshire!

We got married at The Barn at Alswick on 1st July 2023 and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day! We’re so glad we chose The Barn At Alswick as our venue. From the moment we saw it back in January 2022 we knew it was the perfect venue for us, and what made it extra special was the Alswick team. Our day went so smoothly, everything ran like clockwork – it was simply perfect. Nothing was ever too much of an issue, we were so well cared for during the lead up and throughout the day. Ellie was amazing to have as our wedding coordinator and we are so grateful for her organisation and dedication to ensuring our wedding day was a huge success. Our guests were so complimentary of the beautiful venue and grounds, the attentiveness of the team and bar staff, and how well planned the day was – thank you. The glamping pods are convenient and comfy and breakfast the next day went down a treat! We also had a delicious brunch the day of the wedding whilst we were getting ready – the room where you get ready is a beautiful and large space so we felt super relaxed in the morning of the big day. Thank you Ellie and the Alswick team – we had the best day ever!

My husband Luke and I got married at the Barn at Alswick in October 2023. The venue is absolutely stunning and is a perfect blank canvas for any style or theme you want for your wedding. We chose to go for an autumnal theme and the gardens were absolutely stunning, they took our breath away on the day! Ellie was our Wedding Coordinator and was incredible throughout the planning process. Alswick really do provide as much help and guidance as you would like. All of the staff were great on the day and as other reviews have stated, really ensure everything runs smoothly so that as the bride and groom you really don’t need to think about what’s happening on the day or whether everything is running on time, it just happens! We also stayed on site at the glamping, all of our guests were so complimentary and had a great time. Highly recommend Alswick for your wedding.

We were lucky enough to get married here at the beginning of July 2022. It was the most beautiful venue with incredable and lovely staff that help to make our day run smoothly. Ellie our wedding planner was fantastic! From helping us plan, co-ordinating with our suppliers, setting everything up and packing everything away. The team were great to communicate with and kept the day running smoothly. It really was faultless.

The Barn at Alswick is such a special place. The venue was great for us as it’s not only gorgeously renovated but also disabled friendly. Ellie was great when we were planning our wedding, always replying to emails quickly and helping our ideas come to life. Ellie, Kay, Claire and the team were superb on the day, so calm and reassuring, we knew we were in safe hands! We loved staying in the glamping pods too – so comfy and the honeymoon suite is stunning. So many of our guests said how much they loved the venue and the chilled day. We can’t thank everyone at The Barn enough, we had the most special day! X

OMG!!! What can I say about this incredible venue? Me and my Husband had the most amazing day. From the very first viewing all the way to the day itself and after Ellie and her team were phenomenal.

We were quite nervous as we weren’t getting any outside vendors to come and ‘do up’ the venue for us – rather we did it all from Etsy, but Ellie was amazing with making us feel confident in our ideas and really helped to bring them alive.

The day ran so smoothly and it really was the best day of our lives. Lots of our guests commented on the beauty of the venue and said it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to! The venue is truly special, and the team are amazing. If you are considering this venue as your wedding venue – look no further!!!

Abbie and all the staff at the Barn at Alswick were amazing every step of the way in the planning and the day itself. They made us feel at ease immediately and we felt that we were in very good hands. Every detail was listened to, noted and acted on with a great deal of care. The day could not have gone any better and I couldn’t recommend The Barn at Alswick any higher. The garden grounds were the perfect location for our photos with the Flowers being in full bloom for our June Wedding. The Glamping was a brilliant experience and the breakfast in the morning was just what we needed to help cure the headaches from the night before. Ellie was so helpful and really cared about how the day would run. She interacted with all the suppliers (food, band, flowers) to make sure everything ran smoothly on the day. We married at the barn on the 7th July 2022.
From the moment we first walked into the venue in September 2020, we knew this was where we would be getting married – and it was the best decision we could have made.
Abbie and the team from start to finish were amazing, accommodating (of my many many emails and questions) and even a date change after getting bored of waiting so long and bringing our wedding 10 months forward!!

Our guests had nothing but lovely things to say, it really is the venue that gives you everything you could possibly need!

The Barn at Alswick was the first wedding venue my now husband and I went to view, we went up on an open day and fell in love with the venue. The simplicity and elegance of the place is amazing, we had a tour of the grounds from Ellie and fell more in love with it and knew it was the place we wanted to get married.

Kay and her team helped us through every decision and made our wedding smooth and stress free, and they couldn’t have done anymore for us. The staff are excellent and so friendly.

All our guests were amazed by the venue and we have had so many compliments about it. Can’t wait to get our pictures back from our day and be reminded of what a fantastic day we had at the barn.

Where to start – we are so thankful we chose your wonderful Barn at Alswick to hold our special day. You and all of the team were absolutely faultless from when we arrived to set up on Friday until we left Sunday morning. Andy and I felt so supported, guided and gently directed through trickier / scarier bits of the day which we really appreciated and needed.

Nothing was too much trouble. You had everything under control and orchestrated all our suppliers brilliantly, so the day went better than we could have ever hoped.

You are such a professional yet warm and friendly team.

It was the best day of our lives and we’ve been blown away by how many guests have told us how much they loved our wedding, and the stunning Barn. Our mums said it was one of the best days of their lives. This means the world to us and you played a huge part in making it happen. We want to come back to do it all again.

The Barn at Alswick is such a beautiful wedding venue. We got married at the end of June and had the best day. Ellie and her team were super easy to communicate with and kept us at ease throughout the process.

On the day – they were brilliant. They were on point to ensure everything ran smoothly and it did! The down-to-earth, easy-going nature of the team is what we loved the most.

The venue is simply stunning and so many of our guests commented on how perfect it was for our celebrations.

We glamped the night of our wedding, which was loads of fun. It was so lovely to catch up with our fellow glampers over breakfast the following morning.

We got married here at the beginning of June 2022 and it was the perfect venue. From the picturesque gardens, to the spacious barn, to the team that help your day run smoothly.

The entire team are so friendly and welcoming, they do everything they can to make the day run exactly how you want.

The barn is so beautiful that you only need to add the smallest of features to make it yours.

Highly recommend choosing this as a venue!

From start to finish, Kay and Ellie, the main points of contact for organising and planning, were fantastic with helping us achieve our dream day, always making us feel like we were in good hands. We used the brand new yurt village as accommodation for us and some of our guests – all the yurts were so cute and cosy and the bridal yurt (which is more like a mini house with separate rooms, tasteful furniture and an en suite bathroom) was simply stunning. Many of the guests remarked on how comfortable the beds were, saying they had a great night’s sleep! A lovely continental breakfast was provided too. Kay and Ellie were so good with letting us set up for a few hours on the day before and were fine with me coming to the venue on the day a few hours earlier than originally planned, as well as letting my husband-to-be get on with set up in the morning on the day. As an added bonus, the gardens are stunning and such a great setting for photos. We really wouldn’t have changed a thing about our day and are really happy we picked this venue. Thank you so much Kay, Ellie and Claire!

Had our wedding here in Feb 2020. Ellie, Kay, Claire and all of the staff could not do enough for us. They really made sure the day went smoothly and I couldn’t have asked for anything more from them. Huge shout out to Ellie in particular who was INCREDIBLE. We had lots of guests travelling from outside Hertfordshire who (when seeing the address) made a few comments about how far it was. When they arrived everyone said, ‘We can see why you picked the venue!’ Everything was perfect. The changeover from the ceremony to the wedding breakfast was so smooth and wasn’t noticeable. The views are beautiful and I cant wait to see the professional photos. Cant recommend this venue enough!!! The catering options were amazing- I recommend the BBQ sharing boards! I recommend visiting an open day if you are considering this venue. This was how we first saw the venue and were very impressed with how welcome the staff made us feel. There isn’t a corporate feel to the place which we found at other venues. The glamping options also impressed us as did the bridal suite. If I could score higher than 5 stars, I would!

What a venue! We had the most magical and perfect day for our wedding last week and we owe it all the amazing team at Alswick. The whole day ran perfectly and for that we owe a massive thank you. All of our guests were blown away by how beautiful the whole set up was, from the courtyard to the beautiful fairly lights above the dance floor and of course the lovely glamping village where we stayed on the night. We wouldn’t have changed a thing. Stunning venue and amazing team making our day so magical. Highly recommend to anyone looking to book for a wedding or any other type of event they might hold.
